SurpassPaper+ allows candidates to respond to paper-based assessments using a device which they are used to using. SurpassPaper+ is an alternative to a paper answer booklet, and candidates are able to type their answers rather than write by hand. In order to begin answering questions, the candidate must enter a correct unlock code. The unlock code will be provided by invigilators once the candidates are ready to enter their assessment details into the front cover; this code is unique to each assessment at each centre.
Once the candidate has started the assessment, they can respond on-screen to the questions on their assessment paper. When the assessment is finished, the candidate’s assessment details and answers will be uploaded. An upload code is then displayed to advise invigilators of this. At this point all answer data is removed from the tablet device.
